ABOUT
Education
I feel very lucky by the experiences I have been able to have, not only from attending Central Washington University, but declaring my major Apparel, Textiles, & Merchandising. I instantly knew that I had made the correct career path for me. I specifically chose CWU because I liked how their fashion program was directed towards a hands-on learning experience and involved the business side of the industry as well. I enjoy learning from new experiences and I am excited to see where they take me in future endeavors.

Strengths
I believe that my time at Central Washington University is a direct result of my personal strengths. I chose to pursue this degree because I am a creative, innovative individual. Leadership runs in my blood, my social intelligence, ability to be versatile among different groups of people, has enabled me to easily network with my peers. I was elected as Student Fashion Association President, previously Vice President, and Public Relations officer. Being a part of CWU Equestrian team involved hard work, team building, and use of my communication skills. I turn my dreams into goals and I can easily adapt to all situations. Striving to accomplish excellence and ensure I always produce quality products is my utmost priority.
Values
I was fortunate to be to raised with strong values and morals that have carried on with me my whole life. I find strong value in time, traditions, history, family, & genuine kindness. My dedication to strive to be the best version of myself every chance I have has to lead to the ability to connect with others from all walks of life.
I try to find the lighter side of situations and bring my bubbly-self along. There is importance in remembering where you come from, & staying humble to better yourself to achieve where you want to go in life.
Technical Knowledge
Over the past three years in the Apparel, Textiles, & Merchandising program, I have had the opportunity to acquire a valuable amount of technical knowledge.
By taking digital presentations, I have learned how to use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign. I believe this understanding will be crucial to my success as it’s important to be able to identify and have a working knowledge of digital techniques to get creativity expressed on different platforms. Taking classes in retailing and selling have contributed to my understanding of how companies function and the ability to sell myself. In Sociocultural aspects class, I have been able to learn why people adorn themselves and the cultural significance of doing so. Taking fashion show production and fashion line development classes I have been able to produce collections from concept to runway. The learning opportunities provided in my program have significantly increased my technical knowledge & I feel confident in myself to be able to successfully enter the workforce.
